With a focus on carrier-grade NFV products and services, it is easy to view the work of OPNFV solely through the lens of traditional telecom networking gear and vendors. That would be a mistake.  Executing on the promise of NFV requires collaboration with – and an understanding of – a broad swath of players across the IT and open source communities; efforts to build scalable NFVI, VIM and MANO solutions will fail unless CSPs do so.  Against this backdrop, it’s only fair to call out open source SDN, cloud management and analytics as strategic to OPNFV efforts, making it critical to hear how leading players in these fields see themselves supporting NFV going forward.
